We built Wren after years of packing our own orders
Wren started in 2021 in a Charleston stockroom, sending the emails for a small coffee roaster. Today 38 of us help 1,900 stores bring their customers back.

A Carolina wren on a mailbox near our office. It is South Carolina’s state bird, and it likes to nest in mailboxes.
Sam Keene ran the website and the email for a coffee roaster on King Street. Every Tuesday he sent a newsletter to 6,000 people and hoped it reached them before their bag ran out.
Nadia Lyle built the first version of Wren for that roaster in 2021: a reminder that went out when a bag should be running low, based on what each person bought. It made more money than a year of newsletters.
Other stores on King Street asked for it, then stores in other states. We still build Wren around the same idea. Send fewer emails, send them at the right moment, and show the store owner exactly what each one brought back.
